Soul Filled Saturday

1 John 1:9

Todays verse was a wonderful reminder of God’s forgiveness.

Our reflection was about God’s grace for us and the forgiveness of all of our sins. God is faithful and just to forgive us all of our sin if we confess our sins to Him and pray for forgiveness. Not only will God forgive our sins but He will also purify us from all unrighteousness.

It is hard for us to fully understand how God is so merciful and forgiving towards us, but we have to remember He created us in His likeness and loves us unconditionally. God wants nothing less than our whole heart, all of it.

We need to bring all of our sins to Him and lay them at His feet and God promises to not only forgive us all the sins but also to purify us from all unrighteousness. He promises to clean us from the inside out, to remove our wrongs.

Sometimes when we ask for forgiveness, we may not ask in full faith or we don’t trust Him completely that God could forgive us our sins completely. So we still carry that burden or guilt of that sin. Give your sins to God, ask for complete forgiveness and ask Him to help you to let go of the guilt and believe fully that God will purify, clean you from all unrighteousness, from all wrongs in your heart and mind.

Our prayer verse for this week was James 5:16 “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” Let’s pray for one another, lift each other up, encourage one anther and trust that God will heal our hearts and minds. Prayer is powerful and God is waiting to hear from you, so talk to Him.

Until next time, keep the faith and trust God!
